Creativity Through A Lens of Sustainability

Learning From Other's Creative Visualization

Week 14

This week I reviewed two other students creative visualization exercises and reflected on what inspires me about their future ambitions.

The level of intimate detail was inspiring to read in Jazmyne's post. Not only did it set the stage for where she wants to be with her professional life but it also set the stage for where she wants her personal life to be. It reminded me that, no matter how much professional and personal life try to be siloed, the two cohabitate. Trying to separate them could create distance and disconnects to what is important in one's life as a living entity. Thank you for the reminder Jazmyne!

Whitley's Creative Visualization exercise was inspiring to read. She is a good example of someone who is passionate about taking her skills and experience and applying them to something that will work towards a greater good. In her case, her specialization is marketing in which she intends to help preserve whale populations in the Salish Sea. This intention is the whole reason I am working towards a Master's in Sustainable Design. Seeing how other students, who have the same intention in mind to do good using their personal skillsets, is helpful and inspiring when trying to hone in on what industry I want to focus on. Thank you, Whitley.
